Rancho Leona is small lodge and micro eco tourism enterprise located in La Virgen, Sarapiqui. Our core business is lodging and tours like kayaking, rafting and rainforest hikes. Please take a good look around our website here. This will help you get acquainted and will answer many questions.

Responsibilites:

Showing guests rooms, getting them registered and general check in and out
Arranging activities such as kayak, raft, transport, etc.
Answering the phones
Inspecting and assisting with cleaning and general stuff for smooth operations
Lodge security
Ability to rise to the occasions
Working with others where language and cultural differences can be challenging

Additionally we have a laundry and wish list of other possibilities and projects here that someone may find interesting. Are you a handy person with carpentry, gardening, cooking skills, interests and experience? Have some interest and ideas about marketing, advertising and selling the rancho and it’s tour packages? Have you got a proposal or project on your mind ? We have a special interest in anyone with contacts, networks, ideas and energy for bringing tour groups to the lodge for kayaking, rafting, rainforest safaris and adventures. This contribution would definitely have commissions and incentives.

Volunteer provides for their own transportation to and from the Rancho.
Volunteers are asked to pay 12.00$ per day during a trial period. This helps cover room, board internet/computer use and related expenses. You will be responsible for any additional such as comfort food, entertainment or other activities. You will have a chance to have fun on the water and in the rainforest. Typically this lasts for a period of 2 weeks. This may be waived sooner in the event of a good working situation both of us. After the trial period we will discuss how it’s working and proceed from there.
